The New Era of China-Africa Cooperation and Development

China, the world’s largest developing country, and Africa, a Continent with the largest number of developing countries, become even closer today in an unprecedented hug that transcends space and time.

Over the past five years, the new type of strategic partnership between China and Africa has been deepening from economy and trade to cultural exchange, and from government-level to private sectors. A series of projects related to people’s well-being and cultural facilities all mark the progresses made in the friendly cooperation between China and Africa.

Chinese President Xi has paid three visits to Africa over the past five years in efforts to build a community of shared destiny and interests and inject fresh momentum to the development of China-Africa relations.

In July 2018, President Xi will once again set foot on the African continent, opening a new chapter for the coordination of the Chinese and African dreams.
